CIARA CHAFFEE AND NATHAN MIKER
VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA
MAY 20, 2011
Photography by Heather Hughes

Surrounded by breathtaking views of Rudee Inlet at the Water Table in Virginia Beach, Ciara Chaffe and Nathan Miker exchanged vows in front of a stunning candlelit hearth amongst family and friends. A classic damask pattern of turquoise, black, and cream served as the inspiration for their antique-designed theme. White and pink calla lilies, roses, hydrangea, and tulips were arranged throughout, as scattered candles gave the setting a romantic feel fitting of their intimate celebration. In keeping with her vintage theme, the bride wore an elegantly simple ivory mermaid cut gown by Marisa complete with antique lace, as they danced to Tim Hanauer's "Dream a Better Way.” Guests were surprised with five small cakes baked by Carrie Midgette of Virginia Beach, each having a different flavor. What was Nathan's favorite moment of the day? "When I turned around for the first time to see Ciara in her wedding dress, my breath was taken from me. It was the most beautiful moment of my life."Wedding Wisdom: “Enjoy the day- it will be gone in a blink of an eye. Make time for you! Something we both regret to this day is that we never got to sit down and eat. We danced, drank and mingled with guests but never got to enjoy the amazing arrangement of food. Breathe, take it all in, and enjoy each other. Don’t get caught up in the little things- it will waste your time. Trust us!”Reception Site
